How Joco residents become welfare whores

The next 4 months will be some of the most tense months of most of our lives.  Socialist are going to divide this county and piss on our constitution to hold power and ruin our country if not elected.

They will blame everyone but themselves for the hell hole that this country is turning into.  Seriously, who haven't they blamed for this? George Bush, Mexico, Europe, Middle East, Oil Companies, Wars, Wall Street, Russia, China and of course my favorite "not enough time to fix it".  Notice that there isn't a single mention of Government Spending, Entitlements, Unions, Expansion of government jobs, wasted dollars spent on "going green" and a union run education system that is producing a generation of morons incapable of doing anything for themselves.

As the suck the lemming of this country into their web of dependency they increase their base.  A generation of slackers is willing to do whatever they can to keep on slacking and live off of Obama money.  In the meantime the boy king is taking away their freedoms at a record pace.  That is why people are looking the other way when they are being told what they can eat, feed their kids, say in public, how to practice their religion, what money they should keep out of their earnings and who gets to keep the rest of it.

I don't have to look beyond my own neighborhood for proof of the Obama effect.  Sure it use to be the poor that exploited the system.  When someone mentions welfare abuse etc.. they always think of minorities with 16 kids living in the projects but they are wrong.  Your new welfare family is made up with people that have figured out how to work the system so they can live in your neighborhood without having to lift a finger to contribute to society.  These are people that are able to work but refuse to forth any effort to get a job and provide for their family without the assistance of our president.

Why should they get a job? The government is there for them to feed their kids, pay for their tuition, free medical, free activity fees, reduced utilities etc.. That's right, while you are out busting your ass everyday away from your family, friends and events these slugs of earth are living up the good life all on your dime.  While you scrimp and save so that you can afford birthday gifts, eat out  for dinner once a week and maybe do a family activity once a month these folks are eating out 6 times a week, going to movies all the time, buying expensive gifts for each other, taking vacations and enjoying the good life.  The life you wish you had and the life you work hard to achieve.

If they do make some cash they of course hide it from the government so that they don't have to pay taxes on it or risk losing their awesome entitlements.

They do this with no guilt or remorse at all.  They do this right in front of your face.  They do this because they know that there are no consequences and well, because under this administration they can.

Blue Valley Danger Zone

So last weeks drug bust went down and most of the story said that the arrests were made in Olathe, KCK and California right?  Well it turns out that there was a swat team out in our happy Blue Valley hood making arrests that were connected with that raid.

From what I have been told by witnesses is that there was a woman told to lay on the ground outside the house while she had a gun pointed to her head and a whole freaking swat team to raid the house.  This went on for a couple of hours but was only noticed by a few neighbors/residents of  the sub division and there was no mention of it in the news.

It sure would of been nice to know that this was going on in the neighborhood and it would of been nice to know that there were freaking drug dealers under investigation in the hood.  The neighborhood is full of kids and that house is right next to a playground and bike trail that are out on it everyday.

Overland Park leaders should be ashamed of themselves for leaving these kids vulnerable to the activities going on in that house and held accountable come election time.  Kinda makes you wonder what else is going on that we don't know about....

So my wife, 2 daughters and my sister all went to see Madagascar at the movies this afternoon at AMC 20.  They just told me that the theater they were in had mice all over the place and totally ruined there experience. I have never heard of mice in a freaking theater and can only imagine how disgusting this means that the rest of the building is.  

Kinda makes you think twice about "Forks and Screens".....

ACT RIGHT OLATHE OR GET OUT

The city of Olathe is one drive by shooting away from losing its place in the JOCO country club.  What that city has turned into over the past decade is embarrassing and unworthy of the JO on the back of their cars.  It's not so much that all these drug dealers were busted no no it goes beyond that.  It is all about their business model or lack there of.  

Johnson County businessmen know better than to pollute the org chart with a bunch of middle men and pawns.  A simpler corporate structure and all would be good and there would be less chance of ruining their operation.  Due to their inability to organize and run efficiently the whole city will be sadder for the next few weeks.  Gloomy potheads are not fun and will probably turn to booze and then start driving drunk.  Good job.

Segregated Fountains again in KC?

This whole Crown Center fountain thing has seemed foul since the beginning and after doing a little research and talking to some folks in the media and bloggers I am pretty sure that I am right.  I wont go to far into the story because Tony has nailed this thing but I do have a few questions to ask.

1.  How is the water suddenly dirty this year?  I find it hard to believe that with the purification that takes place in our water now compared to a decade ago that we NOW have to worry.

2.  Isn't it weird that this didn't happen until people started complaining about how crowded Crown Center is now?  And why is a crowded entertainment/retail district a BAD THING?  Isn't that what you want?


Personally, I think that a private business can do whatever they want with their property so closing off the fountains isn't controversial to me at all.  The explanations as to WHY on the other hand are extremely suspicious.  If they would of just come out and said that crowds were to big or something, then this wouldn't be an issue

REPOST - MISSION GATEWAY JOKE

There are so many things wrong with this story that it is hard to find a starting place.  We are all being duped here by city, county and state officials for their inability to qualify a developer and their inability to sell the blighted field. 


1.  STAR Bonds were issued by Kansas in 2008 for this project as it was proposed to them.  STAR bonds are only issued for "regional attractions" with tourist attractions.  In 2008 this was passed with the thought of an aquarium being put in but with the aquarium going into Crown Center do we really expect someone to put one in Mission?  If the aquarium doesn't get built then the STAR Bonds should be canceled. 


2.  This is Wal-Mart that we are talking about here.  Does Wal Mart really need economic incentives to open a store in JOCO?  It's not like they are going out on a limb and opening a store on Prospect.


3.  How long will it take for these bonds to be paid back (if ever)?  This economy isn't exactly set up to support 150,000 feet of retail and and 150,000 square feet of office space.  Does the state need to pay for the massive screw up that Mission made?


4.  Isn't there a Wal Mart around the corner from this place now?  We are really going to pay for them to move down the street?  Did we finance the opening of their last store?

What happened in NYC in 1989-1993 in response to the Tawana Brawley case of 1987-1989 could easily be replicated all over the nation. When the Brawley case was being adjudicated in 1987-1989 the media coverage was sensationalistic and very one-sided and community leaders repeatedly demanded "swift justice" with no "legal niceties." By 1989 every cop in the NYPD was on notice: If charged with racism you will not get even a pretense of due process and fair media coverage. In consequence, out of sheer self-survival, the NYPD stopped doing its job in the black neighborhoods of NYC--and crime in these neighborhoods exploded: By 1992 there were 2250 homicides in NYC--a massively disproportionate share of them being black citizens. (In contrast, based on current trends, there should be about 350 homicides in NYC in 2012.) So, ironic as it may seem, America's black community has a great stake in George Zimmerman getting due process and fair media coverage--so it is very much to be hoped that that is the case.

For the past 3 years I have been lobbying to get the Blue Valley region of Overland Park to succeed from the union.  Those outside of the area can't see the difference and think that my idea has no merit, I get it, most of them would die to have what Overland Park has and can't imagine doing better (this gives Blue Valley residents a nice cushion from Missouri transplants looking to better themselves by moving to Kansas).  

Here are just a few examples of the many differences that separate our 2 communities.
