If I had, then I would have been saying how brave the law enforcement officers in Texas were and how effective the safety measures that the school district took after Sandy Hook was in preventing intruders. I would have thought that this 18-year-old psycho was a special forces commando capable of breaking into a secure building, neutralizing a school safety officer, and fending off a tactical team with overwhelming firepower and barricades.
Instead, we get the truth, despite government officials lying to us about what really happened. The law enforcement officers and school district employees were incompetent cowards that allowed 19 kids and 2 teachers to get slaughtered. They aren't as responsible as the scumbag that pulled the trigger BUT their incompetence and cowardice allowed the slaughter to occur. It is hard to believe that so much could go wrong at once and by so many people, but it did.
Some Highlights
- Police took 12 minutes to respond
- The security precautions that the school installed were done half-ass
- There wasn't a security guard at the school
- A teacher opened up a door to the outside and left it unattended
- Police entered the building 12-16 minutes after the call
- Police retreated from the scene once they started taking fire
- Police restrained parents with handcuffs and tasers to prevent them from rushing into the school to save their children.
- Police were more focused on parents than the shooter and had their backs to the scene.
- Police called for negotiators, body armor, etc.. before they entered the building again.
- Police told students to cry out for help
- It took law enforcement almost an hour before they reentered the building to take down the shooter
- Government officials lied to us about a security officer firing at the shooter
- Government officials lied to us about the timeline of events
- Government officials lied to us about the police response
- News agencies reported that the shooter was white
When you wait for the facts you are allowed to make an informed take on the tragedy that occurred instead of exploiting it for politics (both sides) and exposing yourself as a robotic hack. There is a lot of backtracking from folks today on Social Media over their takes. Lots of tweets are being deleted.
You can pass 100 new gun laws and spend millions on school upgrades but what good is all of that when the people that are in charge of enforcing and implementing them are incompetent cowards? This country is fond of passing laws that they fail to enforce and throwing money at issues but failing to see if that money is being spent properly.
Look at immigration, covid spending, DA's failing to press charges, shoplifting, torching of buildings, trespassing on government property, death threats, drug possession, lying to congress, spreading misinformation to federal investigators, sexual assault, embezzlement, insider trading, spouse abuse, bailouts, etc... We fail as a country to properly enforce the law on all of these issues or provide proper oversite into where the money is actually going. In some places, we have 5 different laws all stating the exact same thing that get passed because the first 4 were not enforced. Amazing.
On this memorial day imagine if the boats landing on Omaha Beach or Iwo Jima were filled with the cowards that sat outside a school while 19 kids under the age of 11 were slaughtered and 2 teachers were gunned down trying to protect these kids.
The thin blue line has been replaced with a thick yellow streak running down each and every one of their backs.
And please save all of your candlelight vigils, thoughts and prayers, balloon releases, etc.. Start fixing shit instead
