
NASA Mulls Drug, Alcohol Testing for Astronauts

While the review released Wednesday found no evidence that astronauts were drunk or had been drinking heavily before any space launch — as suggested by an independent panel last month — it cited booze-buying runs made for space shuttle crews awaiting launch.

NASA is suppose to be home to the smartest people in our country yet they do not follow the same standards of employment screening that the fast food industry utilizes for their employees? It is no wonder we haven't been back to the moon (if we even went to begin with).
