READ IT

Starting today I am going to do a weekend wrap of what I think are the best blog post over the weekend. I thought about doing a daily wrap but my sidebar pretty much keeps people up to date on what people are talking about and Tony does a great job of spreading the word.

1. Midtown Miscreant - "Dude where is your car". I just stumbled upon Midtowns blog and I love it. This guy has the most interesting photos of KC on the net.

2. TonysKansas City - "KC MOPED RALLY" AWESOME FIND.

3. NickSloan - "KCK FIREWORKS REPORT"...Proving that KCK residents shouldn't be allowed to play with matches without proper JOCO supervision.

4. DEE - For her Tony Snow tribute.

5. BULL - BBQ'n with BOOZE...Thanks for the heads up! That is a class worth taking.

6. The Kansas Citian - Takes on KCMO Murder Rate.

SHOOTING/STABBING ODDS

I had to start including stabbings due to all of the criminals going green on us.

QUICK HITS - VIOLENT CRIME WRAP UP

It was a great weekend for violence in the metro. This is what you would call a Chamber of Commerce weekend. A weekend that a city should be proud of.......If that city was centrally located in Hell.

1. Stick and Stones will break, well a Semi.

2. Man gets stabbed to death over EBT CARD(WELFARE) by his 51 year old girlfriend. A true East Side love story.

3. Gardner, Ks best & brightest " I didn't know I stabbed him".

4. Dead bodies are popping up all over the place.

5. It isn't even safe to wash your car in KCK. KEEP THAT HOOPTIE DIRTY AND STAY ALIVE.

6. Man gets free hair cut (from knife) by home invader.

7. At least this guy can say that he got shot on the street named after the former Mayor.

8. Man shot on Central Avenue. Central to what? Hell?

PARENTING N DA HOOD

Seriously if you are a kid living in KCK or KCMO RUN FOR YOUR FREAKING LIFE!

1. KCK

2. KCMO

QUICK HITS - Non Violent Crime

1. THANK GOD! CYA STARBUCKS.

2. The worst driver in JOCO?

3. Did we really need a study to tell us that residents of KCMO were high most of the time?

4. MORE ARSON in KCMO..... Here is the challenge of the week, try to identify the building that burned this weekend on Prospect from any other building on Prospect.

5. Come to movie night and watch a movie that you have owned on DVD for 2 years! An idea like this could only come from KCMO city hall.

6. AND MORE ARSON......This city is on fire more than Detroit.

DID PHIL KLINE CRASH A GRADUATION CEREMONY?

Found this little video on CRIMESCENEKC..

THE CRANE KILLS 4

I don't think that Mr. Miyagi knew how truly deadly the crane was....

WEEKEND OVER/UNDER

THE NUMBER THIS WEEKEND IS: 5

I am expecting the Kcmo police department to go into the prevent defense which should allow the gang bangers the opportunity to move up and down the field. Let us just hope the the police department has a decent red zone defense and can hold them to field goals.

TOP TEN KCMO SCHOOLS VS PRISON

Is there a difference between the two?
1. Both are in old run down buildings
2. Both populations are split up amongst race
3. Both have metal detectors at the doors
4. Both are full of people that never graduate from High School.
5. Both are run by corrupt and incompetent people
6. If you get in trouble you go to solitary
7. People are released without rehabilitation/education because of over crowding.
8. Private companies do a better job of running both
9. There is a 50/50 chance of getting shanked in the yard.
10. Both are the last place you want your children to end up

EAST SIDE PRODUCTION UP OVER LAST YEAR

I just read on crimescenekc that KCMO has 13 more murders this year over last year at the All Star Break. Earlier this year when the city came out with its number saying that violent crime was down I told you not to pay any attention to it. Many of you said that I was blowing thing out of proportion and that the city is getting safer. REALLY? Safer? To Who?

The Mayor, Police Board, Police Chief and media have no clue as to what is going on it this city. When was the last time there was a press conference given to address all the shootings in this city? When was the last time you watched a story on the local news that covered the gang problem in this city? Yeah I can't remember it either.

This city hides its head in the sand when it comes to crimes and is reactive instead of proactive.

I want to turn on the news at night and see raids on stash houses, gang roundups, guns coming off the streets. The neighborhoods in which these crimes occur need to be put on notice not left alone.
