IT IS HARD TO BE LIGHT HEARTED THIS WEEKEND

People that know me understand how emotional September 11th is for me.  Maybe it is because I was raised by a family of firefighters or the fact that my wife was pregnant with our first child or just the fact that I had once joined the Marine Corp to defend this country from such thing for whatever reason I can't get over what happened.   Which means that I really don't know how to put into words how important it is that we never forget the loss of life on that day.

The videos of firefighters rushing into buildings to save people as everyone else runs out, the pictures of lost family members posted on fences, the sound of bodies hitting the awning, the sound of all the firefighters equipment beeping beneath the rubble, the voice mails left by fathers calling to say good bye to their families and the recorded calls from flight 93 before they rushed the cockpit will forever be with me.

SEPTEMBER 11th

Isn't it sad that September 11th is being exploited by an Islamic terrorist center and a pyro in Florida?  This is suppose to be a time to reflect on the loss of innocent lives and heroes that risked everything to save victims of the worst attack ever on American soil.  So tomorrow please ignore the stupidity and pay your proper respects to those who deserve it.
