610 sports loses again further cementing their place as the radio version of MSNBC (ratings wise).   Kudos to 810 for grabbing the Chiefs shows.

We were unable to reach 610 or Nick Wrights nose for comment.

I can't believe that I just heard the morons slip up on Between the Lines today. While at a remote they started promoting stem cell research and even questioned why people were against it. What a couple of idiots.

STEVEN ST.JOHN MELTDOWN

I consider myself a sports radio guru. Over the past decade I have developed personal relationships with many of the local personalities/owners/gms/sales guys and hear some pretty interesting things, so it was really no surprise to hear Steven St. John completely meltdown on the radio this morning. He is unstable and immature and is not capable of handling controversy.

His tirade over this morning over the shipping off of his Drunken bed buddy was a classic. He screamed, he called callers names, he was defensive, he used foul language and he was exposed. I kept listening, waiting for someone in management (Leabo) to yank the guy off the air, but it never happened. It get so bad at one point that I thought his cohost (Nate Bukaty) was going to cut off his mic.

Keep in mind that we are not talking about politics, race, crime, education etc... It was the trade of a Drunken Chiefs player. Classic Meltdown.

Kevin Kietzman take on the Jayhawks

If you needed more proof that Kevin Kietzman is the biggest idiot Kansas State homer in the world you needn't read anymore than the following.

1. Couldn't believe that KU celebrated going to the Final 4
2. KU fans realize they have no shot at winning
3. KU is not much better than Davidson
4. KU is the Underdog in the tournament. "That's the only way I know how to approach it". Really Kevin, when the hell have you ever been able to cheer for your team in College Hoops.
5. Russell Robinson looked like a deer in the headlights.
6. The only way that Kansas can win is by playing the perfect game. They aren't good enough to beat these other teams otherwise.
7. Kansas is not on the same level with Carolina historically.

It appears that Frank Boal is leaving crunch time. Could this have something to do with the new 610 lineup? I for one will miss Frank Boal. He is one of the only sane voices in Kansas City sports radio and appears to not have a personal agenda.

The accusations that Kevin Kietzman is throwing out in regards to Lew Perkins contact with Orange Bowl officials is border line slander? Kietzmans hatred for all things KU may just land his but in court. He claims to have sources saying for a fact that Lew Perkins contacted the Orange Bowl and promised to sell x amount of tickets if they got the nod over MU, all without the BIG 12 office knowing. Did he not have time to plan out a show today?
