WASTE OF TIME & EFFORT

The headline reads "school district needs significant improvements". WELL NO CRAP! Everyone knows that. The thing that everyone wants to know is what the hell are you going to do to improve it? After reading the article all that I could find was that the school district will have to file quarterly reports and put on a good dog and pony show for inspectors....

Are these the same people that are looking for Bin Laden? How the hell do 2oo people inspect the school district and think that they are on the path to accreditation?

This crap is hilarious.

THINGS AMATO COULD BE DOING

I have been following up on some emails sent to me regarding my post yesterday regarding Amato and wanted to add a little update. After going back to their website I discovered that there are several thing that Amato COULD be doing to earn his 18k. Their website currently shows over 50 job openings. Why the hell can't he step in and help out? Makes sense right? These are tax payer and not corporate dollars that we are talking about. Shouldn't this guy do something to earn YOUR cash?.

With over 50 openings, it shows that NOBODY wants to work there. Some of these jobs have been open since NOVEMBER OF 2007. What this tells me is that the people on the board are scaring away resources needed to help these kids out. Even with unemployment numbers on the rise, people still don't want to work there.

Another question one needs to ask(and this is a big one) is where is the money going that was suppose to be used to fill these openings? These are obviously fully funded positions, so by not filling them there is a cash surplus going some where. So, is the money going to pay off special interest groups OR are these positions being put on hold (in which case the should be removed from their website, legally) to pay off the 18k a month they are giving Amato? Are the kids going without teachers & counselors because a few people on the board had their feelings hurt by Amato.

If only the local media had the balls and skill to put together a real story on this corrupt group.

STOP FUNDING THE KCMO SCHOOL DISTRICT

After reading about the usage of Amato (or lack of use) by the KCMO school district I now more than ever believe that it is time to cut them off. The people on the school board have no control on their spending habits and are nothing more than power tripping ego junkies that need to go. How do you as a publicly funded school district allow a man to make 18k a month and never do an ounce of work? I don't care if Amato has to pick up a mop, he needs to be utilized. Let me say this one more time 18k a month FOR NOTHING!

Is the KCMO school district so flush in cash that 18k a month is nothing? Do the people on the school board understand that they are wasting the money of the hard working people of their state and city? Seriously, how many times do we hear that schools are under funded? We are not talking about a corporation here this is a freaking school district.

I would tell you to contact them and complain but only 3 of the 9 member have their email addresses listed (Chicken S****).

List of Cowards with no contact info:
David Smith
Ingrid Burnett
Duane Kelly
Joel Pelofsky
Harriett Plowman
Cluade Harris

Have you ever read the backgrounds of the people on the board? Holy crap! These people DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERIENCE to run a school district. Have you been to the website and read what they are responsible for? They have failed in almost every area.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

If you live in the KCMO school district you are surrounded by illiterate morons! If you are educated LEAVE AT ONCE! This story confirms what every self respecting JOCO resident has thought for more than 30 years. For those of you that live outside of KCMO or are in the minority of educated people residing there I have put together some tips on how to handle your run ins with the ignorant majority residing in KCMO.

1. Talk slow.
2. Do not use words above two syllables.
3. If they are available utilize visual aides.
4. Do not use story problems.
5. Make them show their work or at least have a calculator on hand.
6. Do not engage in any form of communication that requires spelling.
7. Learn what the initials GED stand for.
8. Do not engage in any of the following topics; politics, economics, education (given), history, the weather, sports or current events.
9. Nod your head and make eye contact.
10. Speak in rhymes. Think Johnny Cochran, Dr. Seus, Jessie Jackson, Mother Goose.

Good LUCK!

QUICK HITS

1. Another night and yet another shooting. This time in KCK (hard to believe, I know) a man gets shot in the ass and the other guy gets shot in the shoulder. For those of you keeping track at home this is the first ass shooting of the year.

2. Update: The woman that was shot in "the other" Blue Valley died last night.

3. KCK Hooker falls asleep on the job.

4. If you take a look around the KCMO school district you see what a great job that this guy did in desegregating the school district (drove the white kids out). Now Benson wants to run for the School Board.

5. I am typically not in favor of eminent domain but seriously doesn't Sugar Creek need to start over? The people that live in the armpit of the metro should be thankful that someone is willing to buy their homes.

6. Saudi's open lesbian hotel.

THE STATE OF MO HAS SPOKEN

If the state of Missouri is interested in saving the kids of the KCMO school district they will take which of the following actions?

A. Take over the school district
B. Make the recommendation that the school board be dismantled
C. Have a plan to assist the city in improving performance
D. Say "It takes a village" and continue on with its business.

The answer is: D.

"If you build it, they will still be dumb"

The KCMO school district is about to build a "High Tech" school (insert joke here). ..... The price tag $40 million dollars. Now ask yourself, does a school district that struggles with meeting the minimum requirements need a High Tech School? When the hell are they going to get the low tech problems solved? WHAT A JOKE!

Does anyone think that giving the school board $40 million dollars is a good idea?

GRAND THEFT AUTO

If the KCMO school district isn't going to educate the kids, at least these middle school kids can get votech classes from their Playstation. I hope that GTA makes its KC version available to the public.

The kids of KCMO just got screwed

This wasn't a surprise to anyone that tries to stay current with the news in the town but still some of us held up hope that the idiots on the School Board might actually listen to the people and avoid making yet another mistake. The funny thing about it is that they actually had Amato say that he was resigning thinking that the residents of their district would be too ignorant to read between the lines and that they could say "we didn't fire him" to the state and media.

I think it is funny that a football coach gets a longer amount of time to turn a program around with kids that he gets to pick than a Super in the KCMO School District does with kids/parents that he has no choice in.

KANSAS CITY MISSOURI HAS BECOME A JOKE

and it needs to stop before it spirals further out of control and this city becomes a bigger joke. Let's look at some of the wonderful things going on with the metros anchor tenant (kcmo) and how this effects the area.

1. Coe, McFadden-Weaver and Katheryn Shields all criminals in one way or another. The idiots were kept in power despite shady dealings and controversy. Don't think for a minute that there aren't more of them doing the same thing as I type this.

2. The Mayor - seems completely clueless when it comes to PR. This guy runs through city hall like a freshman on his first day of high school.

3. The School District - 20 something superintendents in 20 something years. The school board is full of people that have a KCMO public school education, how intelligent can they be?

4. Police Department - Jim Corwin is a complete disaster. Anyone can cook stats to make it appear that the crime rate is going down but anyone that reads a newspaper or watches the news or hell even dodges bullets while sitting on their porch know better.

5. Economic Development - I am not talking about Arena's and more retail. When was the last time a major corporation moved its HQ to Kansas City? I get the whole "build it and they will come" theory but someone needs to be out there selling what we are building.

6. Convention Business - When the hell did our convention business depend on liberal special interest groups? La Raza, NAACP, _______ religious group etc. The city needs to steer away from conventions that will be used to blackmail the area to push their agenda.

7. Blight - When in the hell is the city going to start tearing down known drug houses, cleaning up parks and alleys? If you don't clean a cut it will get infected.

8. Unemployment amongst blacks - DID I READ THAT 40% are unemployed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND GET TO WORK. I don't want to hear that there are no jobs out there because the people that are employing illegals are saying that there ARE NO WORKERS!

9. The media - WHY IS THERE NOT MORE COVERAGE ON THESE ISSUES????????? It is easy to report on a murder, poor test scores, conventions leaving, unemployment etc.. How about you get off your asses and cover the REASONS WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. The people that cover sports in this city make a bigger deal out of Larry Johnson not playing than the people at the star or local TV stations do regarding real issues.

10. Light Rail - Too much time is being spent on this Disney Land ride. People in Kansas city like to drive, always have and always will. Now drop it.

11. A MEMBER OF THE PARKS BOARD QUIT AND IT IS NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I blame La Raza, The Mayor and the media for making this an issue.
  • La Raza for exploiting the situation to try and gain some PR in this town. Until Semler came along who actually gave a crap about them? Well enjoy the spotlight because the heat is now going to be coming your way. Where you get your donations from, the citizenship of your members/protesters, where does the money you get go? Is it being used to break the law?.... Have fun.
  • The Mayor for being a PR nightmare. There was no compromise possible yet your dumb ass continued to show up at protest meetings thus adding fuel to the fire.
  • The Media for being lazy in their coverage. Are you afraid of asking minorities tough questions?
Who in their right mind is going to relocate their family or company to this city while all of this is going on? The trickle down effect that this stuff has DOES in fact effect the people living in the burbs and beyond. The problems is that nobody seems to care, because many of these problems have been around for awhile now with no REAL action taken to fix them. We would rather complain about the branding of neighborhoods, parking at the Sprint Center, what type of car the mayor drives etc.... Do you know why? Because we have become apathetic to the whole situation. It has become the norm.

FREE AT LAST

The people of Independence have finally rid themselves of the biggest joke in the metro area, the Kansas City, Mo school district. Opponents of this move wanted to turn this into a racial issue, instead of an education issue but failed in the end. It is good to see a group finally stand up to the Board of finger pointers. Have this idiots ever thought that maybe THEY were the problem and not the superintendent (whom they elect)?

How long before kids going to Turner try to join the SMSD?

AREA SCHOOLS UNDER FIRE

There is a story that has long been overlooked in the metro that is finally getting some attention regarding area schools and their dropout rates. Take a bow KCMO & KCK school districts for achieving these amazing numbers.

KCMO
Southeast - 60% of the kids drop
Southwest Charter - 55% of the kids drop
Van Horn - Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner 66% drop
Central High - 58% drop

KCK
Harmon - 40% drop
Wyandotte - 56% drop

You almost have to try to be bad to hit these numbers
