THINGS OF NOTE

1. Starting the weekend off with the flu is the best (Could of used a flu shot). This ruined all weekend activities for me which included motorcycle riding, lawn mowing, maple leaf festival and taking the family out to dinner on Saturday. The main fear of mine was letting the girls down. I had promised them on Thursday that while Kerry was teaching her class on Sunday that I would take them to Power Play or as they refer to it "Fun World". It was painful but I was able to deliver on my promise however today I am paying the price.
2. People that blog really let me down this weekend. Is there some Union that I do not know about that says blogging is a Monday - Friday job?
3. I watched transformers last night and loved the movie but as I watched it I kept on thinking of how good it would sound in surround sound (which I don't have). The only way to go with surround sound is wireless and I still can not find an affordable system so until then I will suffer like the pioneers before me.
4. New neighbors moved in on Saturday next to the neighborhood crack house. Lucky for them the people that lived there before never took down the Christmas lights.
5. I have begun research into turkey smoking and plan on giving it a go sometime this fall. The new Weber is the perfect smoker for this.
6. The lazy bastards that live around me refuse to mow the grass in the island on our street. From what I know 3-4 houses are suppose to switch off mowing it every week (that is once a month for you KCMO school grads) yet they let it get out of hand. So once it dries out and I feel better I am going to have to walk down the street and cut it AGAIN.
7. For some reason my blog seems to be a big hit in Europe. I am averaging close to 100 hits per week from Europe. I am assuming that it is mostly from military bases overseas.
8. Every time I pick out a Halloween costume for my wife she rolls her eyes.
9. I found out that the Don Bosco center accepts money from La Raza so I will need to find a new charity to donate to this holiday season.
10. I have come to the conclusion that I will never be satisfied with 2 things. 1. My TV will never have a clear enough picture. 2. My computer will never be fast enough.

RETURN OF THE PRIEST

I didn't post anything about his return because I didn't want to jinx it ( I am very superstitious when it comes to sports & sales) but it was great seeing #31 run into the huddle on Sunday. He adds a dimension that LJ can't/wont and should help the Chiefs make a serious playoff push (if the offensive line doesn't get him and Huard killed).

Here is some reaction about his return and his game yesterday.

I didn't think anything would top the Amish driving story and then 4 minutes later comes this gem.

I didn't think that Amish drove? Then again I guess they don't.

Officer called to son's death crash

A police officer called to a fatal road accident discovered his son was one of two teenagers killed in the crash. Very sad.

This is one of the worst things I have ever read.

AND THE MINUTEMEN TREAT ILLEGALS POORLY?

PHOENIX — Police raided a drop house for illegal immigrants and discovered several, including a pregnant woman, whose handlers had beaten and tortured them, authorities said. Police took 54 people into custody after the raid Friday, including four children and seven suspected smugglers.

VIVA LARAZA! I am expecting La Raza to boycott Mexico next.

I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD LIVE TO SEE THE DAY

#9 THAT IS KU'S RANK IN THE BCS. SIMPLY AMAZING

LA RAZA UPDATE

I have learned that while La Raza is pulling their convention from KC they will allow us to keep Taco Tuesdays, Cinco de Mayo & Corona. There is still an ongoing debate over the use of Pinatas at birthday parties.

POT MEET KETTLE, KETTLE MEET POT

So if Hillary's allies are going to start ripping Rudy for leaving his wife for another woman then what about the Clintons? Hillary Clinton's camp prob should avoid any discussions regarding marriage, honesty, celibacy, ethics, crime, lies, murder, impeachment, blackmail, ugly children, real estate, pets, dinner, lawn care etc...

KU STILL UNDEFEATED

KU continued their march towards the BIG 12 title yesterday in an easy victory over Colorado. This game was never in doubt and in the 2nd half the KU offense toyed with the Colorado Defense.

Oh yeah K STATE LOST ANOTHER ONE! "The Golden Boy" Josh Freeman continues to live in the shadow of Todd Reesing. If you listened to the hype by their local cheerleader Kevin Kietzman you would of thought going into the year that K State was a sure contender for the Big 12 North. at 4-3 they now have to fight just to get a bowl invite.

Nebraska (also suppose to win the north) got it handed to them by one of the worst teams in the conference. Nothing brings more joy that hearing the all might Husker fans complain about scores being run up against them. Nebraska can't even use the "we are a basketball school" excuse. It is going to be a cold winter up north.

LA RAZA LEADER IS MADE A FOOL BY LOU DOBBS

Since this blog wasn't up at the time this took place I thought some of you that might of missed this would like to see the "La Raza" leader in action.

RACIST CONVENTION VOTES NO ON KC

La Raza "the race" has voted to pull its convention from Kansas City, thank god. Let these crybaby racist take there convention somewhere else. The $5 million dollars (not much as far as conventions go) wasn't enough to blackmail the mayor into firing Semler. In fact the head of the Kansas City Conventions stated that they could easily make up that money within the next 6 months.

In an ironic twist(if anyone knows anything about black & hispanic race relations) the NAACP is suppose to make a decision on their 2010 convention in Kansas City.

I think its funny how the people that were going to benefit from this the most (the hispanics) pushed this to the point of no return.

ANOTHER DUMB ASS STAR COLUMNIST

The Star seems to be flooded with idiots. This latest piece of garbage compares illegal aliens to Jaywalking. It is no wonder that ad revenue at the star is at an all time low.
