ROID RAGE

Kansas City has ties to DEA steroid bust.

The Chiefs offense has been cleared of any involvement in Steroid use after officials were sent game tape of the past 3 weeks.

Inmates have more fight in them than Chiefs

Fight forces lockdown at Jackson County Jail
A fight broke out last night in the Jackson County Lockup facility according to the Star. This wouldn't be news if it weren't for the subject of the fight, the Chiefs. And why wouldn't they be upset? Some of these guys gave up yard time to watch yet another debacle. I am sure Trey Dog is sick of losing smokes over this teams end zone phobia.

The fact that those with no other options in life on a Sunday other than watching the Chiefs will soon be changing the channel should make Carl Peterson feel good about his team.

CHIEFS FANS, YOU ARE IGNORANT

For the past 6 weeks all that I have heard is how Herman Edwards has destroyed the Chiefs great offense. These are the same idiots that for the past 12 years thought that we were only one player away from getting to the Super Bowl. I wonder sometimes if we are rooting for the same team and watching the same games how they miss so much.

1. Dick Vermiel and Carl Peterson assembled a team full of veterans 6 years ago. These players were old then and haven't been getting younger.
2. Trent Green was a journeyman quarterback that fit the system that Dick and Al wanted to run. He was awful his first year in the system, earning himself the name TrINT. He got older, less mobile and finally broke. The Chiefs have never developed there own quarterback and have missed in all attempts to draft one.

3. Willie Roaf and Will Shields retired. Two hall of fame players are no longer part of the offensive line. To top that off all of the Chiefs draft picks at O line have been flops so there was nobody ready to take there place.

4. Priest Holmes, Broken. Larry Johnson is an excellent back but he is not the complete back that Priest was. To think though Dick Vermiel didn't want to take Johnson but instead wanted to take a defensive lineman that has so far turned into a bust in the league.

5. Eddie Kennison is old.
6. Dumped Tony Richardson. The best fullback in football could of been resigned but they just let him go to Minnesota.

How is Herm Edwards responsible for these things? Not only did he have to deal with all of the above but he had to rebuild a terrible defense. If you want to blame someone blame the late Lamar Hunt and Clark Hunt for keeping a man that is terrible at his job employed for 19 years.

As a longtime fan of the Chiefs I am embarrassed at the lack of football knowledge our city has. For a city that claims to have the best fans we certainly don't show it.

THIS JUST IN, THE CHIEFS SUCK

This may come as a surprise to most of you but the Chiefs suck. They are not average (like they usually are), they didn't just drop off a little bit, they are absolutely terrible. Throughout the preseason the blind lemmings continuously called in to sports radio with predictions of 10-6 and a chance of making a run at the playoffs. I kept asking myself what these fans saw that I didn't. Why were so many thinking such great things when the writing is on the wall.

The Chiefs of 07 are made up of has beens and never beens. The youth movement that we heard so much hype about all preseason was simply a diversion created to take your mind off the fact that the Chiefs would be competing with the Royals in winning percentage.

What is he thinking?????? - BILL MAAS

Former Chief detained by airport police Former Chiefs defensive tackle Bill Maas was detained by police at Kansas City International Airport on Wednesday for allegedly having a loaded handgun in his carry-on bag, authorities said.Maas was making his way through a screening checkpoint in Terminal C when he was detained about 11 a.m., airport spokesman Joe McBride said.Authorities confiscated the gun and took Maas to the airport police station for questioning.McBride said Maas was released around noon but that he wasn’t sure where he was traveling or whether he made his plane.Maas told police officers his forbidden carry-on was unintentional, McBride said. He said he grabbed the wrong bag when he was departing for the flight. The incident is still under investigation, McBride said.Maas, who lives in Lee’s Summit, had another weapon-related incident in July.Illinois State Police who stopped his Hummer during a roadside safety check found a .22-caliber revolver along with suspected marijuana, cocaine and Ecstasy pills.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been around Bill Maas several times over the past 5 years but have not seen much of him since he was kicked off of 610 sports. He is a nice guy and always willing to help out if he can. Having said that this guy needs help. This is the 3rd major incident in the past 18 months and if someone doesn't step in he is going to end up hurting someone or himself.

Yet another Chiefs mistake

The Kansas City Chiefs in their infinite wisdom have named journeyman backup Damn Huard as there starting QB for the 2007 season. This would only make sense if the Chiefs had a team suited to make a playoff run and as everyone can clearly see they don't. Instead of using this season as a rebuilding year and a year to get Croyle some game day experience and possibly finishing 6-10 they are going to make the big run at 8-8. This isn't a knock against Huard, I like the guy he just isn't what we need now.

What Carl doesn't realize is that it doesn't matter who is at Quarterback (so why not start the young guy). There are too many holes that haven't been addressed.

1. The Offensive line is terrible.
2. The Wide Receivers can not catch
3. Our corners are ancient and have both lost a step
4. The center of our D-Line is still not providing a push (with the exception of Tank tyler).
5. Our deep snapper is having problems putting the ball in the right place for kicks.
6. The Cover 2 defense is not catching on with the players.
7. The offensive coordinator can not game plan
8. Jared Allen is going to miss the first 2 games

This is going to be a long season.

CTN = Crappy Television Network

Why is it that a football team worth over a billion dollars is using the same camera equipment that covered the moon landing? This could be the worst picture quality I have ever seen. Is KCTV saving all of the HD cameras for Katie Horner? Between the play on the field and the grainy blurs on my tv it is almost unwatchable.

Scary thought going into this Chiefs Season

Our QB looks like Paul from the wonder years, if I hadn't seen his wife I would be more concerned.

JACKASS OF THE DAY - KEVIN KIETZMAN

There is no surprise here that Kevin Kietzman makes an ass of himself while discussing the signing of Larry Johnson of the Chiefs. The "family man" decided to call out LJ's character in regards to him being a team leader. Kietzman said that there is no way that he is a leader and that he has said and done too many controversial things for people to follow him. I find this funny coming from a man that owns (leader) part of 810whb.

A man that while bashing the family values and "leadership" qualities of others were in the meantime cheating on his wife and kids with a twenty-something employee of the station. These actions not only caused him to get a divorce but created turmoil in the company that he owned. Kevin Kietzman is the biggest hypocrite in sports media today and his judging others on character is like Michael Vick telling someone how to care for dogs.

LJ is Back

Larry Johnson ended his contract hold out today 2 weeks before the start of the regular season.
