Carrie Underwood Platinum

Carrie Underwood has gone double platinum.

WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS - NO SALT FOR ROADS

The KC METRO area doesn't have enough salt to handle this next snowfall. They are advising drivers not to drive unless they need to. I don't know about you but driving to work is a NEED TO and the roads are going to be slick.

What the hell do the Mayors of these cities do? The lack of planning by these morons is embarrassing.

Jeffery Flannagan - HACK

Has this guy ever been the first to a story? He has been 2 days late to anything and everything to do with sports entertainment lately. Hell I have broken 3 stories in the last 2 weeks that he is just now getting wind of. I know for a fact that a columnist inside the star emailed him a link to this blog and told him to "catch up".

What use to be a must read has become liner for liter boxes across the city.

ROYAL RUMBLE CAT FIGHT!

Today at Independence Center there was a rumble with 20 girls at Independence Center. They had to be tazered and pepper sprayed to break it up.

AWESOME!

DON'T MESS WITH JOCO WOMEN

This is a public service message to all of those from KCK & KCMO that come to our fair county to rob and pillage from us. A woman that was robbed yesterday by four men took the weapon away from her would be robbers.

The women of JOCO are no joke!

CAN THEY DO IT, NO THEY CAN'T!

In the spirit of Bob the Builder the construction crews for the Bass Pro Shop in Independence are now saying that the store will be open in February. Do you believe them? Me neither.

QUICK HITS

1. Religious leaders capture the true meaning of Christmas.
2. The only cat worst than mine? At least this cat killed its owners quickly. My cat has been slowly going at it for the past 12 years.
3. A girl with half of a brain recently learned to walk. Is this news? I know girls that have half a brain that have been walking for years.
4. Huckabee continues to prove that he is nothing more than a bible thumper in this election. Good job Mike, keep up the good work.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT CHRISTMAS

In no order

1. Putting up the Christmas tree - This year due to weather we bought a fake tree and it wasn't the same. Nothing beats driving to the Christmas tree farm and cutting down your own.
2. Egg Nog - I love it, the wife hates it (how is that possible).
3. Shopping - I dig Christmas shopping more than anything. The busier the better. From the search of the perfect parking spot to the hunt for the best deal, it doesn't get any better.
4. My kids - There is nothing better than seeing the looks on the faces of my children when they wake up Christmas morning and see mountains of presents waiting to be opened.
5. Family - It use to be that the only time that we would all see each other was Thanksgiving and Christmas so it was great to catch up with everyone. I have gone out of my way to put together enough family BBQ's (usually once a month) so that we don't have to wait as long.
6. Christmas Movies & Cartoons.
7. Christmas Music - I don't need 300 days of it but for 2 weeks that is all I listen to.
8. Christmas Lights
9. Santa Clause - You gotta love the big guy.
10. Giving gifts - We tend to go overboard no matter what we can afford. To me it is important to give at Christmas.
11. Helping others - We typically adopt a family at Christmas and ensure that they can provide a good Christmas for their kids. This year we kept it in house and gave to family members that needed it more.
12. My wife - God bless her soul for all that she does this time of year in order for us all to have a great Christmas. From the shopping, Christmas cards, making of stockings etc... I couldn't do it without her. Love ya honey!
13, Time off from work - This year I have 12 days off (Bridget had 14 and reminds me that she has more than me everyday) and I plan on filling it full of family events.
14. Food - This is the best time of year for food (non BBQ). Candy, Turkey, Pies, Cookies etc...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME

What happens when you drop one of KC's nicest shopping areas in the middle of a war zone? Well the Village West became Quindaro West this afternoon when gunfire rang out, killing one man.

CIRCUIT CITY SUCKS

Today I had my worst retail experience ever. I ventured out into the snow, sleet, ice (and I don't even deliver mail) to shop for my family today. I decided to run into Circuit City to look for some stocking stuffers and a casino game for my computer. After navigating through the employees who thought that standing in groups of 3 was an effective customer service tactic I grabbed a few things and headed to the register.

Well in their infinite wisdom they decided NOT TO HAVE A SINGLE REGISTER OPEN, all purchases were to be done at customer service. I walked up to customer service where there was ONE CASHIER and a line 6 ahead of me and 4 behind me. The whole time the idiots that worked there stood in huddles while registers remained vacant. I couldn't freaking believe it. I asked one guy if he could ring me up on the other register and he said no. No explanation, just no.

After waiting in line for 10 minutes I dropped my crap and left. The guy behind me did the samething and when I got to my car I saw the guy that was in front of me following as well. That had to be at least $1000 in sales that these ass clowns lost out on.

FYI, the store in question is located at 119th and Metcalf. I will not spend a single penny at one of these places again.

AMERIE HOT ?

DOME ALERT

The Johnson County Dome might be at risk today with the winter weather approaching. Luckily for us Horner and Lezak have failed so many times in the past that we are stocked up and ready.

If you do not have to go out DO NOT GO SHOPPING TODAY, this storm IS DANGEROUS (actually I have to go out today and don't want to fight crowds)
