Google Music & Spotify
Is anyone using the new Google Music tool or Spotify? I received invites for both of them this week and wanted to see if it was worth the hassle.
The Metro should thank us all
Forbes just released its Top 25 places to retire and of course our city made yet another best of list.
While KCMO(murder), KCK(murder) and their surrounding suburbs(murder) continue to make headlines for murder, muck and misery, it is good to see at least one area keeping the metro afloat.
Alarming Job Stats
Just picked this up off of one of my feeds

"• Total jobs lost since January 2008: 8.7 million

"• Total jobs lost since January 2008: 8.7 million
• Total jobs recovered since January 2008: 1.8 million"

OP, LOST ITS MIND
So let me get this straight. The state of Kansas and city of Overland Park are giving out sweetheart deals to companies on the Mo side to come over to Kansas so that the tax base will increase. BUT now, the city of Overland Park is wanting to increase our taxes to pay for these deals. Why bother?
I would rather keep our taxes low and only increase them for schools, parks and protection than to increase them for another 4 story office building with a large parking lot. OR how about you give kick backs to companies/developers to rebuild the blighted parts of JOCO. Like ummm Metcalf South, all of 75th street, the mistake in Mission etc...
If you want to come to Overland Park and open a business in an nice community great. If you need money to make it "worth it" then take your business down to prospect where the tax incentives are incredible.

Question of the Day
Are there more laws to control our behavior (limit our fun based off of some elitist bible toting beliefs) or to prevent crime?
Random Crap
1. I am sick and tired of hearing nothing but negativity and fear come out of the mouths of our government officials. Everything is the end of the world to these idiots except for the stuff that could actually end the world. 2. Trader Joe's has been worth the wait. Great food and even better service. If you haven't gone because you are "too cool" to believe the hype, good. Stay away.
3. South OP just created 30 jobs for residents of KCMO/KCK by opening up a new Arbys on 149th street
4. I went to the dentist this week to get a tooth fixed that I broke eating ribs at Gates. They prescribed my some Vicodin for the pain but you would of thought that they were transferring over the launch codes for our nukes. Don't we have better things to worry about?
5. I now have over 600 apps from the apple store for my Iphone & Ipad - Out of those I use 20 on a regular basis
6. Sway Calloway is the new morning show host at Shade 45 - If you are a fan of Hip Hop, this is can't miss radio.
7. White Trash is more attitude than income. You would be surprised at how much WT there is out here in South OP.
F OFF Elitist
Excuse me if I don't wait in line to kiss the rings on the fingers of our elected elitist officials that supposedly save the world. Let's be honest here, all they did was increase the limit on their credit card (and they OWN the credit card). The financial experts all agree, this bill is garbage and will do NOTHING to solve the real problem in D.C.
Our government has completely spun out of control and the biggest offenders reside in the Senate. It is time that we cut back the length of their terms or put term limits on the most corrupt 100 people in the nation. This group of douche bags not only take the most money from special interest groups but they also control the most import committees.

Mila vs. Portman
Two movies with the same damn story within 3 months of each other? The originality of Hollywood is amazing.
