WHEN IN DOUBT BLAME CONSERVITIVES

BY DAVID HINCKLEY and TINA MOORE DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERSAir America radio host Randi Rhodes is temporarily off the air, but claims she was brutally attacked near her Manhattan apartment are bogus, her lawyer and a police source said today. Fellow host Jon Elliott claimed on the liberal radio network that Rhodes had been mugged while walking her dog, Simon, on Sunday night. Elliot, who said Rhodes lost several teeth in the attack, waxed about a possible conspiracy. "Is this an attempt by the right-wing, hate machine to silence one of our own?" he asked on the air, according to Talking Radio, a blog. "Are we threatening them? Are they afraid that we’re winning? Are they trying to silence intimidate us?" A police source said Rhodes never filed a report and never claimed to be the victim of a mugging. Cops from Manhattan's 17th Precinct called her attorney, who told them Rhodes was not a victim of a crime, the source said.

The really sad thing about the above statement is that he believes it.

The most shocking part about this to most people was the fact that Air America is still on the air.

DO YOU KNOW ANYONE LIKE THIS?

Charlene Darnell would love to see her family living in a pristine home.“A big showcase house,” the cheery 43-year-old nurse said, “with room to display stuff.”But Darnell knows the truth. She says she is a “clutter-aholic,” a packrat of such magnitude that even the suggestion of tossing away anything brings on a near panic attack.“It’s almost like it hurts,” she says.

KU NOTES

1. KU is ranked #13 in the first BCS standings of the year. Oklahoma is the only Big 12 school ranked ahead of them.

2. Basketball Season began Friday night with Midnight Madness. Ku is the favorite to win the Big 12 this year and are ranked #4 in preseason polls.

3. NFL Hall of Famer John Riggins was inducted into KU's ring of honor this weekend at the Baylor game. It was the first time he has been on campus in nearly 30 years.

WHY IS IT ALWAYS ABOUT RACE?

The people hoping to claim seven Kansas City district schools for the Independence district talk about improving the schools and giving economically strapped communities a chance to revive.

They talk about escaping the troubled history of the Kansas City School District.

One thing they’re not talking about: race.

“Race has nothing to do with it,” said Missouri Sen. Victor Callahan, a leader in the effort to shift the seven schools in western Independence and Sugar Creek from the Kansas City district.

But if Independence residents vote Nov. 6 to put the boundary change in motion, civil rights lawyer Arthur A. Benson II assures them that race will be topic No. 1 in federal court.

Answer: When your paper is losing subscribers and can't give it way you have to resort to Shock tactics to increase readership.

NOBODY WANTS TO BE PART OF THE KCMO SCHOOL DISTRICT. It is that simple.

DIVERSE SUPPLIER????????????????

Over the past 2 years I have been getting asked if my company was a "diverse company". This is a secret code used by purchasing departments to find out if you are owned by either a minority, woman or disabled person or group. As soon as I hear that I pretty much know that I am screwed. When you ask these purchasing departments why that matters they tell me that it is due to the government and in order for them to get business from the gov they have to exceed certain quotas of "diversity spend". They then tell me that I can partner up with a “diverse supplier” in order to get there business.

Basically there is a whole business segment of minority/woman/handicapped businesses that act as shell companies that take a percentage of your profits in order to work with either the government or one of the companies competing to get government contracts. When you dig a little deeper you find that even some of the “diverse” companies that are out there aren’t all that diverse. Many of the woman owned companies simply have a spouse as the “majority owner”. The people that own these companies aren’t even good at covering it up. I had lunch with a guy last week and he said that his wife was the majority owner of the company strictly so he could claim he was woman owned. He said that his wife hasn’t done more than 1 hour of work in the 6 years they have been open.

Unbelievable.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

1. I normally don't drink a lot of coffee but for whatever reason I have had 6 cups of coffee or coffee type product this weekend. I never noticed it before but drinking coffee makes your urine stink.

2. Why do they ask you if your card is debit or credit? As far as I can tell it makes no difference.

3. My wife would rather be entertained than informed. That is a quote directly from her.

4. Why do Nebraska fans continue to refer to their defense as "The black shirts"? Are they that clueless? I have 2 Nebraska fans in my office and I have never seen such sore losers. They are actually complaining about scores being run up on them. WHERE WAS THIS TALK when it was Nebraska dominating (running up the scores) the Big 8/12?

5. Sprint continues to be a complete cluster. The firing/resignation of the CEO is the latest in a bunch of blunders that seem to of all started once the ION project failed. I scratched Sprint from my client list aprox 3 years ago and people couldn't believe it. I told them that the company was to undependable to count on for revenue and I was not going to put myself in a position that their mismanagement could cost me money. 3 years later my business couldn't be better and those that remained loyal to Sprint have been getting burned.

6. Any tent that can't stay up during a rainfall deserves to be broken.

7. Who is it out there that is purchasing single ply toilet paper and what the hell are you thinking?

8. Time Warner Cable Sucks. If my wife wasn't hooked to her email address and signed us up for the phone service I would dump them. The only thing worst is Comcast.

9. Why do they call it planned parenthood? Shouldn't it be called unplanned parenthood?

10. My wife thinks that flu shots are a scam but thinks I should get a Pneumonia shot?

YOU WONT HEAR ABOUT THIS IN THE NEWS

The U.S. military believes it has dealt devastating and perhaps irreversible blows to al-Qaeda in Iraq in recent months, leading some generals to advocate a declaration of victory over the group, which the Bush administration has long described as the most lethal U.S. adversary in Iraq. But as the White House and its military commanders plan the next phase of the war, other officials have cautioned against taking what they see as a premature step that could create strategic and political difficulties for the United States. Such a declaration could fuel criticism that the Iraq conflict has become a civil war in which U.S. combat forces should not be involved. At the same time, the intelligence community, and some in the military itself, worry about underestimating an enemy that has shown great resilience in the past.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No, instead you will hear the media declare that it is unfair for al-Qaeda to have to fight against US Troops. They will say that our military is to well trained and to well armed for al-Qaeda to take on. The media and some of you will insist that the government send al-Qaeda arms and that we train them in order to make it a fair fight. To the media and to you liberals any mention of victory for the United States in Iraq brings sadness.

NEWS Items from this weekend

Al Gores Hitler like march towards world domination is starting to get more and more and more push back.

We should all thank Israel for the bombing of a Syrian nuclear reactor. The liberals in this country have prevented us from doing the same to Iran.

This weekend the Sprint Center opened up and is all ready a huge success despite the fact that there is no major tenant yet (PLEASE NO NHL!). I got a kick out of listening to people opposing the building of the Sprint Center still complain about it when interviewed (EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE AT THE EVENT). These morons honestly think that Elton John, Garth Brooks etc.. would of come to KC and performed at the Kemper. Oh and lets not forget the fact that Kansas City would never of gotten the BIG 12 Basketball tournament back to the area if we could only put it in the Kemper. It was the backwards thinking of these idiots that destroyed downtown to begin with. Oh and don't forget that these morons passed on the chance to get the NASCAR track in KCMO (Wyondotte county thanks you)

Has Mike Hendricks of the Star ever left his moms basement? People paid a lot of money to get those suites but because you work for the star you should be able to have free access?Get over yourself. I am pretty sure that I can't sit in the press box (where he sits) without the proper passes.

The Star (Lynn Franey aka Iraqi Information Minister) wrote an article about "what is La Raza" this weekend. Other than the spelling and grammar being correct the article was worthless. What they failed to mention about La Raza is that they are the Hispanic version of the KKK. They assist others in breaking the law. They blackmail cities and organizations that do not bow to there racist ways. They steal your tax dollars and use them for illegals instead of the citizens that need them. It is sad that these racist group drag the reputations of the metros Hispanic community through the mud when most of them resent these groups. The fact that the Star Published this infomercial shows once again that they have a political agenda.

KU ranked #13 in the first BCS rankings. I had to read that twice because I couldn't believe it either.

STORES THAT GET MY $$$$

At one time I tried to buy from locally owned companies but they seem to be disappearing.

1. Quick Trip - I would die without this place
2. Best Buy - First stop for all electronics and computer needs
3. Macy's/Jones - The only place that I typically buy clothes
4. Target - I refuse to go to Wal-mart
5. Westlake Hardware - This place is a couple of blocks from my house and is like the Quick Trip of Hardware stores
6. Oklahoma Joes BBQ supply store - They just opened this store but it will be replacing Smoke & Fire from my list.
7. Bass Pro Shop - There is nothing you can't buy at this store.
8. Dicks Sporting goods - Quickly falling off the list now that Bass Pro Shop has opened.
9. Central & Worth Harley Davidson
10. Home Depot - All Hardware purchases over $50 are done here.

KC'S BIGGEST RACE BAITERS

Cris Medina:head of the Guadalupe Centers
Rita Valenciano, head of the Coalition of Hispanic Organizations

These two people have decided to waste the Mayor of KC'stime because he has someone on the park board that is a member of the Minutemen. It is sad that leaders of these two groups would rather dedicate their time to people of another country than to those of there own community here legally. A community of Americans that should expect more from their leaders than grandstanding and race baiting.

Have you ever stopped and asked yourself why it is so important to some of the Hispanic leaders in the United States to fight for illegal immigration?

Why is the Mayor being blackmailed over conventions, election recalls and tax repeals for people that aren't citizens of this country? Won't the Hispanic communities feel the effects if these conventions aren't held here?

Why aren't they doing more for the people that are legally here? Seriously, why do people that aren't citizens get this attention and people that are get ignored?

Simple Answer, to increase their power base.

These two have done more to set the Hispanic community back in Kansas City than anyone in history.

Tax Money sent to Guadalupe Center by Tax Payers..
Neighborhood & Community Dev $93,474.00 06/01/06 GUADALUPE CENTER, INCORPORATED Non-Municipal
Neighborhood & Community Dev $15,000.00 05/01/06 GUADALUPE CENTER, INCORPORATED General Services
Neighborhood & Community Dev $29,700.00 06/03/06 GUADALUPE CENTER, INCORPORATED Non-Municipal
Neighborhood & Community Dev $85,000.00 06/02/06 GUADALUPE CENTER, INCORPORATED Non-Municipal
Health Department $20,000.00 05/03/06 GUADALUPE CENTER, INCORPORATED Non-Municipal
How much tax and other revenue will the city lose if the conventions leave?

If the Race Baiters want to keep it up simply pull tax payer funding and let them solicit the Mexican Government for funding.
