People of Overland Park Drive

Today the chief of police in Overland Park is bragging about the city's rankings in the safest to drive in list.   What he isn't telling you is that the city was ranked the lowest in the metro.

That's right, Olathe, Kck and Kcmo all finished above Overland Park (according to Allstate).  But is there an explanation to justify those numbers and make Overland Park once again superior to these 3 blighted areas of hell?  Of course there is!

When your city has high unemployment and empty businesses nobody drives!  Seriously, have you ever heard of traffic delays going into KCK during rush hour? Have you ever heard about the traffic jams caused by kids going back to school? And I won't even comment on Olathe.

So you see Overland Park it is simple

• We take our kids to school because they actually go to school
• We commute to work
• We have crappy drivers that invade our city to serve us fast food
• Our retail areas aren't blighted 
• When our family members get old they don't end up in government nursing homes

Tragedy hits Stanley - Stillwell

This past Sunday the Stanley area was struck hard by the drowning of 6 year old Grace Shaw while at the Lake of the Ozarks with her family. 

 Our thoughts are with the Shaw family as they deal with their loss.

So the state of Kansas FINALLY admits that there is a gang problem and their big answer is...................A BROCHURE. The best part of all this is that the brochure is for PARENTS.  

Do the mindless bureaucrats in Topeka honestly believe that the parents of gang members are going to read a brochure, care about their kids, not in a gang themselves and are around the kid?  If this is the best that the state can do then we are all screwed.

I would rather save the tax dollars spent on printing up this propaganda, its development and marketing and instead spend it on additional officers in the streets.  This lame attempt is nothing more than symbolic so that they can say that they tried to help.

African American Breast Feeding Update

As many of you know I stumbled upon this little gem a couple weeks ago on a government website.  As it states, it offers a Guide to Breast Feeding for African American Women".  At first I thought it was a joke.  I mean why in the hell do African American women need a special guide to breastfeed and why are they the only ethnicity in need of special instructions?

I had to order several of these just to see what all was involved. My 10 copies just arrived and I am so glad that my tax dollars paid for an unlimited amount of brochures, free postage and of course a totally racist thick guide for women that the gov think have magical breasts or something.
