Kansas Highway System Kills 2 more

Two killed in crash on eastbound K-10 near De Soto, Kan. - KSHB.com

How about you try funding  highway safety instead of wasting more money on failed social programs?  How many more people need to die on K10 before we put in cable barriers to prevent these preventable crossover deaths?

Get off your freaking asses and do something useful for a change.

Man accused of sex with pit bull - New York News

Two things.
  1. If you were to picture a guy that would do this wouldn't he look just like this guy?
  2. Of course it's in Florida

KC Douchebag's of the Day - Hickman Mills take a bow

Missouri audit of Hickman Mills School District finds misspent funds, frivolous expenses - KSHB.com

It is all about the children right?  Well then why is it that time after time these "educators" put themselves ahead of the their students?  One day it is a sex scandal, the next it is passing students that can't read and then of course misuse of money.  What a great group of people!

"Many of the district's schools qualify for Title I benefits, which mean at least 40 percent of a school's students are from families that meet the federal government's definition of low-income."
Sounds like the type of people that should be robbed and poorly educated right?

Picture of the Day - Ukraine Edition

"Wrong Side of History" Foreign Policy

Russian President Vladimir Putin is "on the wrong side of history," says President Obama

This seems to be the catch phrase anytime that Obama and his minions face adversity from a group
outside of their elitist collective.  Let's review (links provided below) the subjects that everyone according to liberals are on "the wrong side of history" .  Gun Control, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Libya, Gay Marriage, Immigration, Obama Care, the bailout of large corporations and now of course Russia and their actions against Ukraine.
I can just see Putin shaking in his boots as our "leader" lobs that catch phrase his way as he marches across the borders of our allies.  Putin has to care what the elitist left in our country think right?  Surely he will stop his invasion because John Kerry said that he is using 19th century methods right?

Obama put us in this position and now he is completely clueless on how to get us out.  Face it we are screwed.

Playing Catch Up

What do you miss when you take some time off from blogging?  Not a damn thing.  Same goes for avoiding all political shows, news and emails.  Nothing changes.  But now the break is over and it is time to get ramped up for the 2014 elections and continue to report on life in Southern Joco.

In my time off the following have remained the same

  • KCMO still averages a murder every other day
  • JOCO continues to discuss the future of Metcalf mall
  • Police chases, traffic cams, flash mobs, race baiting all still here
  • Obama Care continues to be a disaster
  • Blue Valley Schools are still winning awards while KCMO schools try to stay open
  • The 9-11 time slot on KMBZ is still the worst radio that this city has ever had
  • Topeka douche bags threaten to picket another funeral of an innocent victim.
  • An end of the world snow storm is coming...... again.
  • Obama continues to get clowned by our enemies
  • The NSA is reading this post as I type it
  • Michelle Obama still believes that she can raise your kids better than you
  • Spike Lee is still Racist
  • Movies on Islam that appear on Youtube continue to be the source of all "evil" in the world
  • Democrats fail to pass another budget in the Senate
  • THIS is the year the Royals will finally put it all together, or next year.
  • Olathe, Merriam, Mission and Roeland Park continue to be the crap holes of JOCO.
I am sure that there are more but I think you get the point

Could the Dust Bowl Happen again in Kansas?

dvd-dustbowl-splshThis is the topic that everyone has been discussing since Algore left Kansas City last week.  The simple answer to this question is yes, but not because of “global warming/climate change/insert token phrase here”.  The real reason that this could happen is due to the drying up of the Ogallala Aquifer.  This water table is responsible for the irrigation of most of this countries farmland in the Great Plains and is currently running low.

Now I am not one that believes in man made global warming or  man made climate change but I do believe in the depletion of a water table.

Ernast Evans Discusses Policing in KCMO

In some of my memos on KCMO crime I have referred to the "de-policing" that took place in NYC in 1987-1993. The initial cause of this "de-policing" was the Tawana Brawley case of 1987-1989--this "de-policing" was reinforced by the election of David Dinkins as Mayor in 1989-1993; fairly or unfairly, Dinkins and his police commissioner Lee Brown were considered hostile to the NYPD. Initially, the NYC "de-policing" only impacted the black neighborhoods of the city: In the aftermath of the Tawana Brawley case, out of sheer self-survival, the NYPD abandoned their duties in the black neighborhoods of NYC out of fear of being accused of racism--violence in these neighborhoods exploded in 1987-1989. By 1989, however, even before the election of Dinkins as mayor, the impact of "de-policing" began to spread to the rest of the city: As reflected in the Central Park jogger incident in April 1989 and later the Crown Heights riots of August 1991, the city began to see a surge of crime in areas of the city previously unaffected by the "de-policing" set in motion by the Brawley incident and reinforced by the Dinkins term as mayor. This brings us to the Plaza crisis in KCMO. While the situation is still developing, the current crisis over violence in the Plaza area of KCMO may signal the danger of the "de-policing" that has plagued the black neighborhoods of KCMO since the spring of 2008--leading to a major violence surge in these neighborhoods--is starting to spread elsewhere in the city. Now, with apologies to V I Lenin, the question is: "What is to be Done?" What stopped the explosion of crime in NYC was the election of Rudy Guiliani as Mayor of NYC in 1993. Contrary to myth, Guiliani did not bring down the crime stats by adopting a "Dirty Harry" approach to crime. He knew that such an approach was neither necessary nor morally justifiable. What Guiliani did was what the political class in KCMO needs to do: He told the cops on the beat that he would make sure that if accused of racist misconduct they would get due process. This simple promise ended the nightmare that all races in NYC had been living for years.
