I AM MAKING CHILI FOR DINNER ON SUNDAY

Thank you to everyone that came over to the house on Sunday. It was a blast. I enjoy cooking for large groups and having people over. I hope that you and your kids all had fun.

Tidbits from Sunday
1. I had my own carny for a day to set up and take down the moonwalk and cotton candy machine. As a boy I could never imagine myself employing a carny. Anything can happen in America.
2. It is not suppose to be 90 degrees in October. When I settled on a date the forecast said 60 degrees. The weather people in this town are a FREAKING JOKE. I could put my 3 year old in front of a weather map and get a more accurate forecast.
3. The food was done AHEAD of schedule. I would like to thank the good people of WEBER and BRINKMAN for making high quality cooking instruments.
4. The Chiefs returned to their true form on Sunday. 10 YARDS OF RUSHING for THE GAME! I have seen fat people run to the Buffet at Ryan's Steak House with more agility than Larry Johnson displayed on Sunday.
5. Thank you to CBS for deciding NOT to put the Chiefs game in HD. They would do it the weekend I am having people over. I think it is a joke that a major broadcasting company like CBS can't put every NFL game in HD.
6. Thank you to Kent & Mark for supplying Beer on Sunday.
7. Congratulations to my brother and his family on their news.
8. Thank you to my wife for her role in the clean up and set up.
9. Congratulations to Kristin for her completion of ONE WINE COOLER. My mother in law out drank my sister in law.
10. My mom was able to make Cotton Candy. Ever since my Dad mentioned to me that my mom wanted to do that I have been trying to figure out how to accomplish this.

WHATS GROSSER THAN GROSS?

Remember those jokes as a kid, "Whats grosser than gross?"... well I think I found it. You must read the story.

The Associated Press

ANGLETON, Texas — Negligent homicide charges have been dropped against a former Lake Jackson woman who had been accused of killing her husband with a sherry enema that led to alcohol poisoning.

UPDATE TO EVENT THIS WEEKEND

WE WILL HAVE A MOONWALK AND EITHER A POPCORN OR COTTON CANDY MACHINE

ANOTHER VICTORY FOR LIBERALS/DEMOCRATS

By Kathryn Richert, The Daily Camera
October 3, 2007 BROOMFIELD -
There won't be little ghosts and goblins at Kohl Elementary School this Halloween. In a newsletter sent home to parents, Principal Cindy Kaier wrote that the traditional Halloween party celebrated in classrooms each year will be replaced by a fall party on Friday. And because the party is focused on fall, not Halloween, children can't wear costumes. Parents expressed frustration that they weren't included in the decision. Brook Kimber said it's hard to explain a random Oct. 5 party to a child. The decision came after a discussion that culminated in an "emotional" meeting with teachers that focused on school holiday parties and how Kohl could continue to celebrate without leaving out anyone.

FILIPINOS DEMAND JUSTICE

The Philippine government is to seek an apology from the producers of the hit US television series "Desperate Housewives" for a racial slur against Filipino medics, the Philippine Daily Inquirer said on its web site Wednesday. The officials cited a recent episode where actress Teri Hatcher, who plays Susan Mayer, asked whether the person attending to her during a medical consultation "can I check those diplomas because I want to make sure that they're not from some med school in the Philippines." Asked if the government would seek an apology from the producers of the show, and ABC television network that carries it, executive secretary Eduardo Ermita said: "Yes, I think we should, on behalf of our Filipino professionals." "On the face, we can look at it as a racial slur. We are looked down upon too much, considering the number of our medical professionals in the US," the Inquirer quoted Ermita as saying.

I sincerely feel for the people of the Philippines. This should take priority over the slaughtering of Monks in Burma.

They should put a Filipino maid into the show just to piss them off even more.

BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THIS FACE

KINSHASA (AFP) - Democratic Republic of Congo's health minister announced on Tuesday a fresh case of the feared Ebola virus, bringing the number of cases confirmed in the Kasai Occidental region to 25.

MORE MOTHER OF THE YEAR CANIDATES

AND

Number 2

Suddenly Brittney Spears doesn't seem so bad.

BIGGEST IDIOT IN KANSAS CITY? If you mow it, they will come

KMBC TRANSCRIPT
I am Woody Woodruff, a Bannister Mall businessman. I oppose KMBC's recent editorial supporting Kansas City tax-increment financing to tear down Bannister Mall to build major league and other nonprofessional soccer fields and retail stores on the grounds. It would be extremely wasteful of public resources to demolish the 40 good buildings that comprise the Bannister Mall area to build a soccer complex now and new business space in the distant future.A better approach would be to better manage the 40 existing good buildings, simply cut the grass, and add to what is already thereThe interests. of the black community and Kansas City, for good jobs, tax revenues, and economic development would be better served by reopening the main mall now, and by investing time in getting the state permission to build a casino in the future. The mall has only been closed for four months. Kansas City should allow more time for other ideas and proposals to emerge.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw this live on Sunday night and couldn't believe the garbage that was coming out of this guys mouth. IF YOU CUT THE GRASS IT WILL FIX EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! This idiot should be glad that people are interested in doing something with that land rather than letting it sit empty and deserted. Are we really suppose to believe that with a little help from George Toma, one of Kansas Cities highest crime areas will turn around and the Bannister Mall area will rival that of developments like Zona Rosa and The Legends? Someone needs to tell Woody that there is a reason that the buildings that once housed retailers moved and until those problems are fixed NOBODY is going to move in there.

Woody Woodruff is turning the failure and redevelopment of the Bannister location into a racial issue. Is this really the biggest problem facing black people in this town?
"If you mow it they will come" might of just put owners of race cards on notice that they will soon expire metro wide.

WOODY WOODRUFF FOR BIGGEST IDIOT IN KANSAS CITY. VOTE NOW, VOTE OFTEN.

OUR TOWN HAS SO MANY NICE PEOPLE

JUST A SMALL SAMPLE OF THE GOOD WORK OUR CITIZENS DO ON A DAILY BASIS

WAR ON CHRISTMAS GETS AN EARLY START

(CBS) OAK LAWN, Ill. A southwest suburban school district has taken action, responding to the concerns of a parent who is Arab-American.

But now, as CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot reports, other parents are angry that traditional school holidays will be renamed or even eliminated.
"That does not represent all the Muslims, all of the Arabs at that school," said Qais Nofel, the father of a student in Ridgeland School District 122.
There was some heated discussion between parents outside Columbus Manor Elementary School in Oak Lawn on Friday. The thought of no more traditional holiday celebrations has many parents really upset.
For now, children in Ridgeland School District 122 will celebrate fall festival instead of Halloween and winter festival instead of Christmas.
Brenda Elvidge said, "It's not fair to our kids. This is America and that's an American tradition."

Every year this gets worst.

EVEN RAMBO COULDN'T HELP

Stallone and Crew Saw Myanmar Aftermath
By JEFF WILSON LOS ANGELES (AP) - Sylvester Stallone says he and his "Rambo" sequel movie crew recently witnessed the human toll of unspeakable atrocities while filming along the Myanmar border. "I witnessed the aftermath - survivors with legs cut off and all kinds of land-mine injuries, maggot-infested wounds and ears cut off," Stallone told The Associated Press in a phone interview Monday. "We hear about Vietnam and Cambodia and this was more horrific." The 61-year-old actor-director returned to the U.S. eight days ago from shooting "John Rambo," the fourth movie in the action series, on the Salween River separating Thailand and Myanmar, formerly known as Burma.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once again the rest of the world sits on its hands and waits for the US to fix this problem. Is there not another country in the world capable of helping out these people? The UN once again proves to be a joke.

WEEKEND THINGS OF NOTE

1. Cropping. This is where a bunch of women get together to "make memories" for their families. I do find it a little bit funny that they make these memories away from their families. I suggested that Kerry go to one of these on Friday hoping that it would recharge her batteries.
2. Lousiburg Cider Mill implemented Donut rationing during their annual Cider fest. This is exactly the type of news one wants to hear after waiting 3o minutes in line ( no exaggeration) in a cramp, hot barn full of screaming kids.
3. Turkey Legs at the Ren Fest are terrible. They use to be pretty good and worth waiting in line for but recently they haven't been worth feeding to the homeless. I took 3 bites and chucked mine in the trash.
4. I watched more NASCAR this weekend than football. This is a first.
5. 3 little kids is one too many to handle alone when at a restaurant. Especially when the 3rd is your wife. That is all I will say on that subject.
6. I have a freezer full of nothing. "Honey, what is in the freezer downstairs" , "Nothing", "you mean its empty?" "No it is full but there is nothing in it"
7. People in this area suck at driving. This becomes clearer to me the more I ride my motorcycle.
8. 1.5 gigs of memory while running Vista will melt your lap
9. My wifes cat is straight out of Pet Cemetery.
10. The weather people in this city blew another forecast. Sunday the rain was suppose to arrive early and then leave the rest of the day rain free. At least I got to watch them blow it in HD.
