KERRYISMS

Yesterday I suggested to my wife that it might be a good idea to make reservations for Saturday night so that we could ensure ourselves a spot at the Bristol. She hunted down the phone number on the giftcard and told me that she was going to give them a call, so I hung up.

Tonight she informed me that she forgot to make the reservations. I said that I thought she did that right after I hung up the phone with her, she said that "That is just how my brain works".

I have no idea what that means and I am pretty sure that I don't want to find out.

KU BASKETBALL NOTES

Friday, September 21, 2007 ANDY KATZ ESPN

Brandon Rush said Tuesday that he's starting to do some cutting and coming off screens during individual workouts. The Kansas guard is still recovering from ACL surgery last June. He said he doesn't have a timetable yet for his return. KU coach Bill Self had projected Dec. 1 as the return date, but Rush said they haven't given him one as of yet.

As for the rest of the squad, both Rush and senior guard Russell Robinson said that Darrell Arthur is just "dunking on people," and Rush added that Arthur "has that mentality that no one can stop him."

Robinson said he's using this pre-preseason time to work on his leadership skills since he knows he'll have to be more assertive while Rush is rehabbing. One sleeper player that doesn't get a lot of talk on KU's roster is Roderick Stewart. What it's worth, the fifth-year senior has been a pleasant surprise to Robinson. Stewart still may have trouble getting on the court with Robinson, Mario Chalmers and Sherron Collins and Rush (when he returns) ahead of him. But if Stewart is playing well early, he might get a longer look.

If KU doesn't win this year Bill Self could find himself on the way out.

Notes From This Week

1. Gas Station Car Wash's should just disconnect the dryers. THEY DO NOT WORK.

2. My 10 year streak of not hitting an animal while driving came to and end this morning. At aprox 10:43am I ran over a squirrel in downtown KCK. I have found comfort in the fact that I might of actually done him/her a favor due to its place of residence.

3. Normally I don't like sweets but I discovered Ben & Jerry's Peach Cobbler ice cream this week. I am on carton #2.

4. Manny's Mexican joint on SW Blvd is over rated. Do not believe the hype.

5. You never see Chinese people working at BBQ joints. This topic was covered extensively in my office this week. There is a $50 prize if anyone can bring back photographic proof of this.

6. Midgets can be homeless too. I met "Stan" this morning outside the Federal Reserve Building downtown. He had a cardboard sign asking for money, not will work for money, just money. Two things ran through my head. 1. I had never seen a homeless midget. 2. People in SUV's will never see that guys sign.

7. The Wal Mart in Topeka might posses the scariest collection of white people on earth.

8. My wife can make an incredible salad. The salads I make at the salad bar are inferior to the creation that she brought home last night.

9. My youngest daughter is a freaking comedian. Every thing she does is an attempt by her to be funny, and it works.

10. My oldest daughter might be a little bit spoiled. My wife on the other hand is spoiled.

Hillary Can't Stop Lying

Friday, September 21st 2007, 4:00 AM

Hillary Clinton officially declared she's not a lesbian - not that there's anything wrong with that. During an interview with The Advocate to be published next week, Sean Kennedy, the gay magazine's news and features editor, asked the presidential candidate, "How do you respond to the occasional rumor that you're a lesbian?" "People say a lot of things about me, so I really don't pay any attention to it," Sen. Clinton (D-N.Y.) replied. "It's not true, but it is something that I have no control over. People will say what they want to say." Kennedy told the Daily News he's convinced. "I 100% believe she's a straight, heterosexual woman," he said.

I think that Bill might say otherwise.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!

ATLANTA (AP) - Former President Jimmy Carter said Wednesday that it was almost inconceivable that Iran would "commit suicide" by launching missiles at Israel.

Speaking at Emory University, Carter, who brokered the 1979 Camp David peace accord between Israel and Egypt, said Israel's superior military power and distance from Iran likely are enough to discourage an actual attack.

"Iran is quite distant from Israel," said Carter, 83. "I think it would be almost inconceivable that Iran would commit suicide by launching one or two missiles of any kind against the nation of Israel."

Iran's deputy air force commander said Wednesday that Israel is within range of Iran's medium-range missiles and bombers and that Tehran would strike back if Israel "makes a silly mistake."

The White House said the comments almost sound geared toward provoking a fight and Israeli officials said they take the threats seriously.

Carter did not dismiss the idea that Iran might want to attack Israel, noting Iran's refusal to suspend uranium enrichment production despite two United Nations resolutions imposing sanctions on the country. Tehran insists its nuclear program is aimed at producing energy for civilian use but the U.S., its European allies and many others fear the program's real aim is to produce nuclear weapons.

"Obviously, we all hope we can do whatever we can to keep Iran from becoming a nuclear power," Carter said.

This guy should never be asked about foreign policy especially any regarding IRAN. This is the idiot that is the most responsible for what the middle east has become today.

Clinton Backers comment on Rudy's Marriages?

Hillary Clinton has avoided taking potshots at Rudy Giuliani's personal life - but one of her top boosters last night showed no such restraint. Former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack went off on Rudy Giuliani's family foibles in a televised interview, saying Giuliani has "lots of issues" voters may not know about - yet. "I can't even get into the number of marriages, [and] the relationship he has with his children," Vilsack said on New York 1, describing the ex-mayor's past as "interesting." Vilsack, who joined Team Clinton after abandoning his own presidential aspirations, was to appear at a Manhattan fund-raiser for Clinton last night. The Giuliani campaign had no immediate comment.

This is funny. Does this woman or her supporters have any room to talk about how people live their personal lives?

If Hillary's marriage were to be made into a Lifetime movie people would be yelling at there TV's for her to leave her husband. Her marriage makes Britney Spears and K- Fed's look legite.

THIS CAN NOT HAPPEN!

(New York - WABC, September 19, 2007) - Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad requested to visit Ground Zero during an upcoming trip to New York. That request was rejected Wednesday. But a source tells Eyewitness News that the decision may not stop him. A law enforcement source says the Iranian mission to the United Nations has informed the Secret Service that the Iranian president intends to visit Ground Zero Monday at 10 a.m. The source says regardless of the NYPD's rejection of the request for a Ground Zero tour, Iran's president and his entourage will be accompanied by a Secret Service protective detail, a detail provided to all heads of state when they visit the United States. The Iranian mission to the United Nations made the initial request to the NYPD and the Secret Service, who will jointly oversee security during the president's two-day visit. Ahmadinejad is scheduled to arrive September 24 to speak to the U.N. General Assembly, as the Security Council decides whether to increase sanctions against Iran for its uranium enrichment program.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The thought of this man going to ground zero sickens me. Why in the world would he be allowed to visit the site of this tragedy? This guy supports and backs the people that attacked us. He is currently arming terrorists in Iraq to fight against our troops and working on developing nukes and has publicly said that he wants to wipe Israel off the map.

If George Bush allows this it will be the lowest thing an American President has done since I have been alive.

Rednecks Rejoice(be happy)

The tattoo industry received a boost today when Dale Jr. chose the #88 for his new ride. His fans will now simply have to add another 8 to their arms and it will also prevent them from having to learn new numbers (which can be confusing to most of them).

Now that he has his new number and sponsors all that the most overrated driver in Motor Sports has to do is learn how to do is finish a race without trashing an engine.

LUNCH

My job is to entertain current and future clients which means that I have an expense account that I get to abuse on a monthly basis. This includes Golf, Royals Games, Gift Cards, Donuts, cookies and the most important thing, Lunch. Having free lunches at nice restaurants everyday use to be a nice perk. How many people get to eat where ever they want for free 4 days a week? One day I could be eating at the Plaza III and the next some good Sports Bar Food and then some BBQ.

After nearly 9 years of entertaining people it has become old. I actually hope that the clients will have to reschedule just so I can get some down time. It is tough to be "on" all the time and to continually make excuses for the people that work for me. I have an excellent client base and it is no longer necessary for me to "whine and dine" them, yet it is expected.

So I figured once a week I will post where I have eaten and what I had so I can reflect back at the end of the year on the variety of food I have had. So just to get caught up here is a list of places I have been in September.

1. Fox & The Hound
2. YaHooz - Town Center
3. Parabskis deli - Topeka
4. Glory Days Pizza - Topeka
5. 1924 Main - Downtown
6. Manny's - SW Blvd
7. Arthur Bryants - Downtown
8. George Brett's - Plaza
9. Hereford House - Downtown
10. Pierponts - Union Station.

Today I am heading back down to Manny's

TOO WHITE????????????

I just read a news story in which Jesse Jackson said that Borat Usama Obama was acting white. What the hell does that mean? Is that the "equal rights" leader launching stereotypes?

One has to ask what is acting black in Jessies eyes? Is Obama suppose to run around with his pants sagging and a hoodie? Does he not rhyme his words when giving a speech like Jackson & Sharpton? Maybe he needs a big clock hanging off his neck and a gold grill to "keep it real".

Jesse Jackson does far more damage to race relations than good.

McNabb says black QBs under more pressure - ESPN

African-American quarterbacks face more pressure and more criticism than their white counterparts, Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb says in an interview scheduled to air on HBO on Tuesday night. McNabb, in an interview on "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel," tells interviewer James Brown that African-American quarterbacks such as himself face added pressure because there are fewer black QBs -- and because some still don't want black athletes playing the position. "There's not that many African-American quarterbacks, so we have to do a little bit extra," McNabb tells HBO. "Because the percentage of us playing this position, which people didn't want us to play ... is low, so we do a little extra." In just-completed Week 2, five of the 32 teams (15.6 percent) had black starting quarterbacks. Later in the interview, Brown presses McNabb on criticism of his performance -- and if African-American QBs are graded more harshly.

"I pass for 300 yards, our team wins by seven, [mimicking] 'Ah, he could've made this throw, they would have scored if he did this,' " McNabb tells HBO.

"Doesn't every quarterback go through that?" Brown asks. "Not everybody," McNabb replies.

What a delusional cry baby. I guess this clown hasn't heard the media tearing apart Rex Grossman, Elli Manning, Jake Plumber etc... I guess he didn't see Chiefs fans boo Croyle during a PRESEASON GAME. Ohh and lets not forget that he happens to play in the city that booed Santa Clause.

Remember that is the same moron that cried on draft day because the Eagles selected a QB to back him up. The same moron that ran out of gas in the 2nd half in the Super Bowl which cost them the game (Just ask TO), the same clown that gets hurt every year and can't play a full season and the same clown that throws out the race card when ever he performs poorly.
