A BREAK FROM POLITICS

I will be taking a break from discussing National and Local politics until after the 1st of the year. I tried taking an unofficial break after the election but that didn't help so that leaves me with quitting cold turkey. I will still link to some of the stories but nothing beyond that.

Ever since the election it seems that every blog wants to be political, every blog wants to suddenly matter and every blog nearly sounds the same. So why not take 30 days off from covering crap that everyone else has said 1000 times? Seems like a good time to me.

JOCO BOOZIN MOMS

First of all let me state that I am not sure if this woman is a native of JOCO or a transplant. The 79th street area is part of NOJOCO so anyhthing is possible. BUT just because you live in wannabe JOCO that is no excuse to drink and drive your kids to school and tarnish the good name of our county. Take a cue from the women of SOJOCO and deal with your depression by trying to act like you are still in a sorority, live through your kids, get a boob job, nail some guy you met at Nick & Jakes, get 5000 friends on facebook or my personal favorite sell Pampered Chef products.

This woman should be forced to move into the DMZ part of JOCO, Roeland Park.

WOULD YOU RATHER......................

Would you rather save a homeless animal or a homeless person?

I ask this question because I have heard a lot of people lately saying that it is important for us to remember the homeless animals this time of year (it gets better). Taking these discussions to another level I have been asking them what it is that they do for homeless people and most of them have responded with "nothing".

Now anyone that reads this blog knows that I think that the homeless get exploited every Christmas by the media but that doesn't mean I think you should help them out. I also can't believe that there are people out there that rather save the life of a kitten over that of a human being.

Have you ever taken a step back and looked at all you have and wondered how far away from being that guy/gal you are? Most people take for granted that once they reach a certain income level/life style that they are there forever. However there are many of us who have made a lot of money but lost it due to the economy(2001-2002). Many of us have busted our asses to get back to that previous level and then some just so we don't end up there again. We got through those times with the help of family, friends, spouses and luck.

What if you have no family, friends, spouse and you have crappy luck? What if you saw people caring more about kittens and puppies than you and your family?

All that I am saying is that if you are going to help out those on four legs do it in addition to helping out those on two, not in place of it.

Biker Claus is coming to town

You gotta love this play
