Isn't it nice of the benz driving students of Pembroke Hill to KNIT SOME SCARVES for "needy people".  This is one of those style over substance stories that make me ill. Meanwhile back at home these same kids and their parents probably have closets of clothes that never get worn.  

Another thing.  Can someone please tell me when they heard a homeless or needy person say that they needed a freaking scarf?  WTF.  I am sure that Hobo Bob is relieved that his neck is warm yet the rest of his body is an ice cube.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been able to avoid listening to most AM radio.  Sure I missed a couple of shows, the 810 morning show and Petros program and Darla Jaye. Yesterday at 2pm and again today I decided to give the two ripoff artists another chance and well that was a huge mistake.  


Yesterday I sat and listened to 980 make a mountain out of a mole hill with the pathetic snowfall that we received.  I assume that this was to go along with there over the top coverage of a winter storm that happened almost two freaking weeks ago and the snow removal.  To listen to them you would of thought that a nuke had landed in Downtown KC and we were all doomed.   


Then today things returned to politics.  I had to listen to these two unoriginal hosts recap stories that other more credible journalists had covered to death and their pathetic claims to be conservative.  

IF YOU HAVE A 4 HOUR SHOW EVERY WEEKDAY AND YOU HAVE TO TRY AND CONVINCE CONSERVATIVES THAT YOU ARE CONSERVATIVE THEN WELL, YOU AREN'T CONSERVATIVE.

Just admit that you are moderates and quit the charade.  You might get some credibility back.  

COULD KCMO SCHOOLS BEING CLOSED BE A GOOD THING?

I woke up this morning expecting to see Dennis Quaid heading to the Johnson County main library on dog sled to rescue his son from the killer cold.  I want to know why I am am so cold while at the same time (allegedly) polar bears are having sun tan lotion applied by AlGore and PETA.

As my fossil fuel gas hog V8 AWD fights the elements to seek shelter from this weather I wonder how many smart cars I will see on the road stuck in ditches and how many protesters will be outside of the plow garages protesting their carbon emissions...

Having said that the only thing you really need to remember is Don't Eat the Yellow Snow

Since I get several emails a week asking me about sites that I visit for blogging, news etc.. I figured that I would just start posting a few of them each week (when I remember).  Let me know what you think of the sites I post and if there are any cool sites that you want to share.  


1.  BLIP FM.  - Great internet music site that allows you to be the DJ unlike pandora.
2.  PLAYFIRE - This like a FaceBook site for gamers.  
3.  GIST - This site is one of several sites out there that act as a social networking portal for all of your sites such as linkedin, facebook and twitter.
4.  THE DAILY BEAST - I check this site out everyday.  It is probably one of the best internet magazines out there right now.
5.  GOOGLE READER - It amazes me how many people haven't either heard or started using Google Reader.  There is nothing better out there to follow all the sites that you visit.
