I had thought about stopping this segment of the blog due to the parade on prospect. I thought for sure that crime was going to stop but shockingly it hasn't.

1. 3 guns, 3 men, 2 alive, 1 dead on Spruce. (pssst...that is the East side, now look away)

2. Officer injured when man in KCMO tried to run after a traffic stop.

3. The fact that this guy isn't getting the death penalty still pisses me off. If not him then WHO?

4. Thanks to the residents of KCK, violent crime is up in Kansas. Good job fellas, keep up the good work.

5. While MS-13 gang graffiti goes up all over West Olathe they feel its more important to tackle the serious problem of parking. Did you know that the Olathe PD has a gang unit? I told you last year that latino gangs were moving into the area, yet nobody believed me.

6. Why does violence to small animals always occur in KCK? Poor kitty.

7. Teenage girl gets gun pulled on her in KCK. Way to represent da hood.

DISCUSSING THE CONDITIONS IN THE EAST SIDE

Apparently if you are white and you discuss the crime, poverty, violence, blight, crap school districts, welfare state, housing projects and stray dogs in the East Side, you are a racist. Well that is at least what one extremely bright person said to me in an email this morning. Apparently East Side residents are satisfied with lighting candles and walking a couple blocks to solve their crime problem. They say it brings awareness if nothing else to the problem.

Here is a newsflash WE ALL ARE AWARE of the killing fields that the East Side represent. It is no secret and it hasn't been one for years. Who is it that you are trying to make aware of this problem? Please let me know.

The point is that it takes more than candles and parades down prospect to SOLVE the problems in the east side. Instead of lighting candles, report a crime. Instead of making signs and marching, form neighborhood watches. Instead of blaming (like my little email friend) "White People" for coming into those neighborhoods to buy drugs, report the drug houses to authorities.

I hate to say it but long before this little parade was marching down prospect, THIS BLOG was pointing out the crime upswing in that area and offering real solutions to the problem. So don't come in here and blame the messenger for your lack of awareness and action. Instead you should thank me for even taking the time to care about a part of the city that the media, police department, school district and majority of the residents could careless about.

It isn't often that there is a good story in the news regarding Satan worshiping so when one comes across the news desk here at JOCOSOB I feel obligated to share it with you.

It appears that in Russia a group of peaceful worshipers got a little carried away and stabbed 4 goth teens over 600 times. Ohh the fun doesn't stop there. Once they bleed their kills the prosatan group butchered them up and slow roasted them on a camp fire. The story doesn't mention what side dishes were served or what was for dessert.

How messed up is Kansas City you ask? Extremely. As I mentioned a couple of months ago it seems that this cities only solution to crime is worthless marches and this weekend we had two of them. If these idiots would put as much effort into reporting crime as they do in marching against crime then we might have something.

1. These morons marched against prostitution.

2. These morons marched against crime on Prospect. WHY DIDN'T ANYONE THINK OF THAT TO BEGIN WITH. GENIUS! All they have to do is march and the crime will instantly stop on Kansas City's most dangerous street. The religious leaders and "community activist" that put together this little walk are really letting down their community. If this is the best they have to offer the people that live there are freaking doomed.

The rain played havoc in this weeks crime. Don't these guys have panchos? What the hell? Way to let us all down........

1. The one good thing about all of the shooting in the east side is the geography lesson that we get. How else would we learn about the crap streets that we would never drive down. This one is on Elmwood.

KSHB CONTINUES TO TAKE ON BLIGHT

KSHB is the only one outside of local bloggers discussing the blight problem in this town. This story talks about how workers have picked up 12 tons of trash along Prospect.... Has anyone seen Prospect? The place is still a crap hole. Prospect alone is an environmental hazard. What the story left out was an estimation of how much more garbage is needed to be picked up.

Nice try KSHB but tackle the whole issue, not just the feel good crap.

1. It is interesting to see that the "Red Star" is starting to put "East Kansas City" in the headlines when reporting the crime. 17th & Moulton the home of this latest shooting. Another thing, it says Apartment complex in the story but can we just start calling them "projects" instead. Odds are that if there is an apartment complex in the East side, the tax payers are paying the rent.

2. Skytracker helps catch two thieves. Of course this took place in the East Side as well.

1. 5 people arrested in KCK for robbery. Even criminals that commit crimes in other parts of towns are drawn to KCK.

This past week we attended the open house for our oldest daughters school. I am truly amazed at the Blue Valley school district and all of the programs they offer, one of which was Boy Scouts. As I was looking through all of the stuff I became very thankful that I have the opportunity to give my kids a decent education and to get them involved with as many activities as they would like.

At the same time I was thinking the thought of an East Side KCMO Boy Scout troop cracked me up. Can you imagine being a Boy Scout in the East Side? From there I began to think of how one would have to adapt the scouting program to fit the East Side environment and I came up with a list of merit badges that every kid needs to survive in the East side.

Here are 20 actual merit badges that I have altered to better assist the poor bastards in the East Side. After all, everyone should have a chance to become a scout.

1. Fire Starting - How to set a vacant on fire

2. Ghetto Survival (formerly Nature Survival)- Spend the night alone on Prospect with nothing but a dime bag and .22

3. Orienteering - Ability to navigate through gang territories without getting shot

4. Cooking - The art of frying bologna and cooking "lake trout"

5. Environmental Science - Recycling of shell casings and catching of stray dogs.

6. First Aid - Treatment of gunshot and knife wounds. The art of driving yourself to the hospital when shot.

7. Shooting - Both Drive and walk by shootings will be taught.

8. Family life - How to survive with no father in the household while being a welfare recipient.

9. Auto Mechanics - Learn everything from hot wiring a car to putting spinners on a pinto.

10. Entrepreneurship - Ability to set up a drug corner, employ a staff of lookouts and runners while turning a 100% profit.
