Could KC be ready for a new newspaper?

 I have had multiple conversations about the state of "news" publishing (print and
over the air) in the KC metro area in the past few weeks and one thing keeps being said, "what the fuck happened?" It seems the past 3 years have seen a major shift in the way stories are covered and even if what we are hearing about could be considered "news".  To a person, everyone has stated that a more traditional newspaper could come in and completely dominate the market and drive what is left of "The Star" completely out of town.

It seems that people are sick and tired of being called racist and hearing about how corrupt the police are and how even more money is needed to fight "insert the flavor of the month cause".  In the meantime, stories from the North & South of the city get ZERO coverage, sports are poorly covered and JOCO is slandered.  To say that "The Star" has jumped the shark on racial issues in this town MIGHT be the biggest understatement I have ever made on this blog.

The local newspaper can't keep staff, hides articles behind a paywall, hides the names of authors of editorials behind the phrase "editorial board" and takes up political causes instead of trying to at least maintain some sort of charade of impartiality.  It almost seems like they think that they are going to create change instead of reporting on it.  Good luck, when your subscriptions have plummeted and people see your approach for what it is.  

 People are sick of being lectured and are ready for NEWS. 

KC Star calls over 55% of their City, Racist....

  So here goes yet another barrage of stories about how racist and nasty the
majority of the KC area is.  This time, just because you are NOT in favor of the mayor trying to create a loophole to defund the police (which is kinda against Mo law), they call you a white republican racist.  If that isn't enough they compare NKC to slave states of the south prior to the civil freaking war.

Now I know that most of the Star writers are new to the area BUT NKC has discussed leaving KCMO since the freaking 80s.  This isn't news but it is a way to tie into their post-George Floyd narrative that all white people or people of any color that disagree with liberal talking points and socialist policies are either racist or self-hating people of color.  Let us not forget that for close to a century the KC STAR was the chief racist in town.  Ever speak to a reporter/writer of color that use to work there?  There are LOTS of stories.  

The KC Star then post a story that EVERYBODY in the city already knew about, the guy that Troost was named after was kinda a bad dude.  Missouri was a slave state (those of us on the Kansas side know this well) and there is a lot about the city that was wrong.  But let us not forget who has run KCMO for Generations, DEMOCRATS!

If KCMO is a racist city, then look no further than the Democrats that have run the city since my grandparents migrated here.  The KC Star and elected officials need to take a long look in the mirror before pushing out false narratives but maybe this is part of their plan. 

Democrats in KCMO are like the kid in class that farted and then proceeded to blame everyone around them that were just minding their own business.

When you elect a douchebag that is bad for America, that is on you.  You must take
ownership for your vote and stand by your elderly white man.  Both parties have run terrible candidates in the nationwide for 2 straight cycles.  To say that both parties had better candidates that lost in the primaries is a bit of an understatement.  

As a Republican, I was shocked at how Trump won the nomination in 2016.  There were at least 3 other candidates that were more qualified and showed a better temperament than he did.  I took to Twitter, Facebook, the RNC and stated as much.  In 2019, I didn't vote. for either major party candidates.  Shit Kanye would have been a better president than either Trump or ancient, bought and paid for, senile Biden.  I did vote Republican for local elections but that was it.  

I get it though, I hated Hillary and voted for Trump in 2016.  You probably hated Trump and voted for Biden in 2019, The difference was, I never supported him on this blog or privately.  You dipshits all seem to think that Biden is a good decent person.  It is nice to care for senior citizens, help them lift heavy objects, and listen to their stories but do you let them drive to the store?  Fuck no.  Yet you voted this idiot in charge of the free world.  Good job.  

So for that reason, this blog will dedicate itself towards lumping all of you that voted for Biden in with every single action Biden or any of his supporters take.  Kinda like how you lumped together with any Republican in with any dipshit thing Trump or his supporters did.

KC to London of people screaming shit that Hitler would have been proud of and it is happening on a daily basis and yet the media is taking the same tactics they used in promoting BLM.  Ignore the facts, push an agenda, and spread the hatred of an entire ethnic group that was nearly eliminated in the '30s & '40s.  

This isn't a Palestinian issue, it is a HAMAS issue.  Keep in mind that half of Gaza didn't want Hamas to control the group and wanted to push for a free state of their own etc... The area had been peaceful under Trump's tough stance on Iran (hey dumbass, Iran is basically HAMAS) but once Biden got elected and decided that appeasement was the best approach, the region has once again turned into a warzone.  Keep in mind that Biden was the VP during the beheadings of Americans on Tv and the rise of ISIS.  Democrats are weak on foreign policy and the world knows it.  

So now let us go through the list of shit that has occurred under a 5 month Biden presidency.

The Star on Soldier Suicide is wayyyyyyyyy off

 Young vets in Missouri die by suicide at exceptionally high rate." "Experts blame guns.

Sure but the guns that are causing the suicides were not fired in Missouri, they were fired AT THEM in COMBAT.  This sickening headline shows just how out of touch "The Star" is with real-life issues.  They would much rather blame everything and anything on guns.  Would this have anything to do with their ongoing narrative about gun violence and their special town hall event they have planned??????  

Using soldier suicides to push copy is just sad, pathetic and should be expected by any/all left leaning publications and thinkers.  As a USMC Vet, I am disgusted.

Snitch on a John - NE KC

 This idea might be the latest but it probably isn't a solution that will work. 
Snitching on a "John" that frequents the NE area's streetwalkers is simply the latest tagline in a nearly 100-year-old battle to fight prostitution in that area.  If you haven't been to NEKC (white folks that is you) then you probably think that this plan might work but the area has been neglected for so long that NOBODY in that hood is about to snitch on people driving through for quick relief.  

Have you driven down Independence avenue at night?  Probably not.  I use to do a lot of charity work with the Don Bosco center and frequented the area often to drop off donations to families and the majority of them will NEVER EVER talk to the police.  Most of them reside in the United States in an unofficial capacity and will not call the police due to either language barriers or fears of deportation.

Further up the road, have you seen the area surrounding Knuckleheads?  It is literally the walking dead there.  I have never seen more dusty white people covered in chemical disfigurements in my life.  You will most definitely get a gun pulled out by some psycho sitting on his front porch.  

The people of NEKCMO have been unfairly neglected, they live in an amazing community and historic part of the city.  Can't we focus on the revitalization of the area instead which will of course force prostitution elsewhere?  

"Just say No", remember that slogan?  Now city's are legalizing weed.  

JOCO SHEEP care little about Justice

 

Just look at the approval ratings for the judges listed above.  There is no way in hell that a poll would ever look like this unless it was filled with corrupt data or a pool of respondents that are apoplectic.  This poll goes against almost every conversation I have had regarding this subject, especially once they do a little digging into the corrupt nature of the people that occupy the JOCO courthouse.  

Many of these people are nothing more than folks that were given their job because of who their parents were.  Several of them are put there simply to appease donors.  Most of them are incompetent.  Yet, JOCO residents simply elect people that were appointed to their job without knowing a single thing about them.  

Example, would you want a family court judge that uses personal favors to move his divorce case into a neighboring county? Would you want this man who had an ugly divorce of his own to oversee your own?  Probably not.  But you keep him in office.  

Overland Park police chief’s not the problem - But there is a HUGE problem

 The calls to remove the OPPD Chief have gotten louder, much louder, but is he
the real issue with the Police Department? How about the city council, mayor, judges, and county commissioners?  Do they get a free pass?  Can you imagine the calls that were made by the elected douches of the county and city once this poor kid was gunned down in his house?  The pressure to make the murder go away and "punish" the officer had to be incredible.  

Cluster fucks like this typically only happen when people are forced to go behind the standards and practices that were created to handle a crisis and resolve it for "good PR".  If the chief were to follow the book, I seriously doubt a killer cop would have received 70k to kill a kid at his house. 

OP is currently undergoing a MAJOR identity crisis due to uncontrolled and poorly planned growth.  The choices and decisions the city has made over the past 10 years are choices typical of greed, power, and lack of knowing one's self.   The problem will not resolve itself until JOCO/OP residents start electing capable people with good character like they used to.
